Palm Friends have returned with a huge new tune in the form of ‘Hidden Perks’. The Minneapolis quartet blend fuzzy guitars into warm textures that are supported by mid-tempo beats and an indie sensibility that especially makes itself known in Jesse Pedersen’s vocal. “’Hidden Perks’ is about how I figured that as I got older, I would become a better and better version of myself because I would learn more and learn more lessons,” says Shawnna, who wrote the track’s lyrics and melody. “And I came to realize I was really admiring my former self and striving to be someone I was before.” This new tune is one of the band’s older songs, and is being used to open their upcoming EP, The Delivery, due for a March 24^th, 2022 release. -Dan Peeke
